BUCKHORN NEIGHBORS
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Recently, one of our Buckhorn neighbors has had
stressful interactions with several youths who appear to
be of middle school age (see photos below). Their group of four consists of
females and possibly a male. They try very hard to
obscure their faces but are very vocal with name calling.
They travel south on Green Valley Street which the same
street Buckhorn Park is located on. At the south end of
the street they go through the Buckhorn neighbor’s yard
sometimes on foot and sometimes on bicycles and onto
the golf course where they hang out for a while. They
then retrace their path and again go through the
neighbor’s yard.
The neighbor politely asked the group not to trespass
through his yard several times. The group is very rude
telling him it is illegal to take their picture and then yell
racial slurs as well as threaten to “beat his ass”. One
even stated they would bring their father back to “beat
his ass”. The homeowner has planted rose bushes at the
border of their yard and the golf course in an effort make
going through their yard more difficult to no avail. They
really do not want to spend money to fence the back
yard. They have also spoken to the Sheriff’s office and
were only advised to notify the youth they are not
allowed to trespass on their property.
Over the last couple of years the Buckhorn neighbor has
experienced some similar problems with area youth.
They even had one jump into their pool in their screened
enclosure while they were home. However, this group of
entitled teens is very offensive.
WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?
Please look at the attached photos made by the
homeowner. Note their clothing, shoes, color and style of
bikes and the cell phone color one is using to take the
homeowner’s picture. Some or all may live in our
Buckhorn neighborhood, however, some or all may live in
Buckhorn Preserve to the north of the dead end on Green
Valley Street by the park.
We are asking you to share these pics with your youth to
ID these youths. Please give us their name, their address
if you know it and the grade and school they attend.
This type of behavior by anyone is not going to be
tolerated. We are trying to nip this problem early on in
an attempt to correct these youths’ behavior and to keep
this situation from escalating which could cause personal
injury or property damage. Their parents need to know
how their youth are behaving in public because if they
continue on this path of bad behavior very serious
consequences will be in their future!
Please email your information to BEHA@Buckhorn.us as
soon as possible. Neighbors have successfully identified
misbehaving youth on our requests for assistance in the
past which enabled us to stop bad behavior and protect
our residents. We are counting on you again to help us.
Warmest Regards, Buckhorn HOA and Neighborhood
